A couple years ago when Umberto, together with some friends, started The Giveback Community they had an idea of what type of impact they wanted to make in the community of Downtown West Palm Beach. That mission was simple; to help those in need. With love and generosity and a little bit of outside help they were able to start an organization that would spark a revolution in the community around them.
Looking back on it now we see a young man who wanted change among the homeless community. Now we have a whole organization that constantly pushes people to be Generous and to Serve those in Need.
The most common question asked about the organization is, “what are you guys trying to accomplish and what are the values you hold?” And to this question we give this answer.
GENEROSITY IS THE CENTER OF IT ALL
The Give back Community’s main mission is to spread the power of generosity to every soul we encounter.
Generosity is a powerful virtue and is the ultimate way to spread love and kindness.
Generosity comes in many different forms.
People can be generous with their time, skills, and money.
We offer so many different ways to get connected. Whether it be coming to GameDays on Friday night to help hand out food or even serve with our team there are so many avenues to get plugged into. Take a look at our different services on our website to learn a little bit more about what all of our services do and provide help through Generosity.
THE THREE SIDES OF THE GENEROSITY TRIANGLE
When comparing our values to a triangle we can dissect it like this. In the middle of the triangle is the virtue of “generosity”. At the top point of the triangle we have the essence of being in “community”. We believe that it is in community where we can make the largest impact on people’s lives. When everyone works together as a group that is where the change begins to happen. At the left side of the triangle we have the essence of “story-telling”. There is nothing more warming than hearing a success story from someone else about how the Give back Community changed their life. It is through testimonies that we are able to reach others and inspire change in their lives. These stories also inspire the community as a whole, encouraging those around us to get involved and act on these success stories to help make more of them. The right side of the triangle is the essence of “Connect”. We Connect our volunteers to different platforms where they can practice Generosity. We as well connect those in Need with Jobs Opportunities, Healthcare Support, Recreational Activities and more…
The Give back Community hopes to reach all streets of every City, and spark a change around us.
The three essences of the Giveback community all aid in spreading generosity amongst those lives we come in contact with.
